ACREDIA is the reliable support for securing all open account transactions required for national and international business relationships. As an Austrian credit insurance company, it combines the know-how of the global market leader Allianz Trade with the many years of regional experience of the highly motivated local team.
Business Challenge
The basic task was to migrate the existing core application from a Docker Swarm environment to a modern Kubernetes-based IT infrastructure. In order to keep pace with the rapidly evolving technology landscape and ensure the necessary enterprise readiness, Red Hat OpenShift was chosen as the basis. The "Managed OpenShift" platform from CANCOM Austria AG was evaluated as the optimal environment. This private cloud platform is located in Austria's high-security data center Earth Data Safe.
Solution
The first step in this ambitious project was a thorough feasibility analysis. The adoption of the applications was tested and validated in several phases. The project team benefited from the extremely short lead times in providing a proof-of-concept environment on a scalable platform. During this test phase, it was necessary to connect the existing ACREDIA environment to the central platform. The project team relied heavily on automation technology to speed up the lift-and-shift of the applications and eliminate manual errors. This meant that the necessary test cases could be carried out very efficiently and professionally in several iterations.
Services
After the successful completion of the proof of concept, the planning and preparation of the go-live began. A Managed OpenShift Cluster was implemented on the target environment in CANCOM Austria AG's Earth Data Safe and prepared for operation within a very short time.
