Your apprenticeship at CANCOM Austria
CANCOM Austria trains apprentices in IT systems engineering in the first two years of their apprenticeship in the specially equipped training workshop.
A total of 24 training and technical rooms and a mechanical workshop are available at the Johann-Hoffmann-Platz 9 site in 1120 Vienna. The ideal conditions for high-quality, practical apprenticeship training are created here.
After an "introductory week", during which introductory events are held on the topics of sources of danger, safety, first aid and accident prevention, you will be familiarized with the content of the training during your apprenticeship.
Mathematical basics and spatial representations of objects are repeated and consolidated. Getting to know the various tools and machines is one of the prerequisites for learning the basics of electronics, digital and communications technology and, in the course of the apprenticeship, for delving deeper into the field of IT technology with networks, special server services and further specializations.
You will also be offered the following activities:
Company outings (e.g. Technical Museum, Kapsch Museum, etc.), Christmas and summer projects (where you can put your knowledge into practice), participation in information events at educational institutions, summer workshops for children.
Please note: Unfortunately, company outings and certain events cannot take place at the moment. We ask for your understanding and look forward to being able to resume all activities as normal.
The last two years of your apprenticeship (3rd and 4th) will be spent directly at CANCOM Austria. In the specialist departments, you can demonstrate the knowledge you have acquired in the first two years of your apprenticeship and deepen and apply the job-related skills according to the job profile and requirements.
Apprentices who have been accepted for the Austrian branches in the federal states continue their training in the respective branch office from the 3rd year of their apprenticeship.
