Change in the Executive Board of CANCOM Austria AG
Vienna, April 3, 2024 (OTS) - At the end of June 2024, Dr. Franz Semmernegg will leave the Executive Board of CANCOM Austria AG at his own request. For more than 25 years, he has actively shaped and shared responsibility for the success and growth of the leading ICT solution and service provider in various board functions as co-owner and board member at Kapsch BusinessCom AG and most recently since June 2023 at CANCOM Austria AG.
On July 1, Bernd Eder, currently CEO of the Kontron Transportation Group, will join the Executive Board of CANCOM Austria and take over the agendas of Franz Semmernegg. The 45-year-old business administration graduate has international corporate experience and has worked for over 15 years in the project and system integration business in the railroad industry, most recently as CEO of the Kontron Transportation Group. He began his professional career at Kapsch BusinessCom AG, after which he was CFO of Kapsch CarrierCom AG for ten years.
Jochen Borenich, a long-standing member of the Executive Board of Kapsch BusinessCom AG, has been a member of the Executive Board of CANCOM SE as CSO since August 2023. In this role, he is responsible for sales as well as strategic portfolio and industry management across all regions. In order to maintain continuity on the market side and to anchor the CANCOM Group's solution portfolio as broadly as possible in the joint customer base, he will also become a member of the Executive Board of CANCOM Austria AG.
Dietmar Wiesinger, who joined the Executive Board of CANCOM Austria in October 2023, will remain responsible for Sales, Marketing, Strategy & Portfolio Management in Austria, Switzerland, the Czech Republic and Romania.
"We are very pleased that with Bernd Eder we have been able to win an experienced candidate who is well known in the company as a member of the Executive Board," says Dr. Kari Kapsch, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of CANCOM Austria AG and member of the Supervisory Board of CANCOM SE in Germany. "Together with Dietmar Wiesinger and Jochen Borenich, we will ensure continuity and quality in the support of all customers and at the same time strengthen the position of the CANCOM Group as a leading ICT service provider with growth potential in the DACH region.
